Willka T’ika Childrens fund
Willka T’ika Children’s Fund was established in 1995 to help support remote mountain schools
Quechua children and families who are living well below the poverty level
Besides monetary donations, the most-welcome contributions to this fund are:
Good quality clothing for ages 4-12.
Baseball caps, quality soccer balls and volleyballs.
Spanish children’s books (please, not torn or outdated school textbooks).
Small, durable toys for all ages.
Pens and notebooks.
Flashlights and solar lights (especially those that do not require batteries).
All donations go directly toward nutritious, protein-rich meals, infrastructure, desks, necessary school supplies requested by the teachers and at times toward life-saving medical emergencies
Willka T’ika also sponsor the salaries of teachers to assist understaffed secondary schools and have established a new college fund to support our graduates
Willka T’ika are currently supporting 80 primary school students in the Sacred Valley with their education and nutrition, suppling school supplies, fresh vegetables, and maintaining a greenhouse we built to provide a more balanced diet for the community
Willka T’ika similarly support another 150 children in the remote mountain community of Q’eros where they have recently built greenhouses for their kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools
