Level 1 taught you to journey, to reach the spirit world safely and meet your first helping spirits. That was the doorway. Level 2 is where you walk through it and the work becomes your own.
Here you stop visiting the spirit world and start working in it, directly on the patterns, the wounds, and the old agreements that have quietly shaped your life. This is the level where personal transformation accelerates, where journeying stops being something you do and becomes the way you heal, protect, and rebuild yourself from the inside out.

Meet and Work With Ten Spirit Allies
Modern shamanism often teaches that you have only one or two power animals. That is a narrow view. A true earth-based shaman lives in relationship with the whole web of life. In Level 2 you meet and build working relationships with ten different spirit allies, the beginning of a far wider, more powerful circle of helping spirits.
Set True Energetic Boundaries
You learn to establish clear energetic and spiritual boundaries, and to release the energies that were never yours to carry. Through several distinct techniques you shed the skin of old, dysfunctional dynamics and rebuild them in a balanced, healthy way.

About Your Teacher
Scott is an international shamanism teacher based on Kauai, Hawaii, with students on 6 continents and over 30 countries. A graduate of Duke University and former director of an international trade finance company, he left the corporate world to teach shamanism as a grounded, practical healing system.
His work integrates shamanic tradition with Taoist internal arts into one coherent method, the foundation healers with decades of experience consistently describe as the missing piece in their practice. He guides you personally through every step of Level 2.

Do I need to complete Level 1 first?
Yes. Fundamentals of Shamanism (Level 1) is the prerequisite. It teaches you to journey and meet your first helping spirits, which is the foundation everything in Level 2 builds on. If you haven't taken it yet, start with Level 1.
How is Level 2 different from Level 1?
Level 1 teaches you to journey, to reach the spirit world and meet your first spirit helpers. Level 2 turns that skill inward. You meet a wider circle of spirit allies, set true energetic boundaries, and learn the full method of Commanding Your Dreaming, then apply it to the real areas of your life. This is where the work shifts from learning to transformation.
What format does Level 2 come in?
Two: a guided live online cohort with real-time teaching, discussion, and Q&A with Scott, and a self-paced online option you can begin anytime and move through at your own rhythm. Both include guided journeys and lifetime access to recordings. You choose your format at enrollment.
Is this part of the apprenticeship?
Yes. Self Mastery is Level 2 of the 4-level Shamanic Apprenticeship. You can take it on its own for your own growth, or as part of the full path toward certification. There's no obligation to continue to Level 3.
Do I have to want to practice professionally?
Not at all. Many students take Level 2 purely for their own healing and growth. The depth you reach here is profound whether or not you ever choose to work with others.
